About Daniel Eichinger
Daniel Eichinger is a recognized leader in the conservation and outdoor recreation community who developed his connection to the outdoors as a child on his grandfather’s 17-foot fishing boat.
Before joining Kalkomey, Eichinger served as vice president of governmental and external affairs at Ferris State University. He previously served as director of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Executive Director of the Michigan United Conservation Clubs. His career includes extensive experience in government affairs, public policy, conservation, and public-private relationships.
Eichinger holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Theory & Constitutional Democracy and a Master of Science degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Central Michigan University. He is completing a doctoral program, with expected completion in spring 2027 and is a Professional Member of the Boone and Crockett Club.
Eichinger and his family enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and boating. He primarily pursues ruffed grouse and American woodcock with his German wirehaired pointer, Hans, as well as deer, turkey, and trout with his family.
